Board Members are elected at large by the voters residing within the boundaries of DeKalb Community Unit School District 428. Members are not compensated for their many hours of service to the students and families of the district. Each member is elected to a four year term. Board elections are held every two years. The terms are staggered so that either three or four seats are up for election in any given election cycle.
