About me:
Background Information:
-I have lived in DeKalb since March of 1971.
-Before beginning my teaching career, I had my own business and worked at the Kishwaukee YMCA for 10 years in charge of all youth programs.
- My son and daughter both graduated from DHS and went on to gain degrees from Illinois State University, NIU and University of Tennessee.
-My main hobbies and interests are motorcycling, scuba diving, golf, photography and spending money on my granddaughter!
Education
-I have an A.S. Degree from Kishwaukee College in Political Science and a B.S. Degree from NIU in History with a Teaching Certificate.
-While at NIU, I was President of the History Club and was inducted in the Eta-Eta Chapter of the National Historical Society.
Experience
-I have taught History at DHS for 18 years, concentrating on U.S. History, Western Civilization and U.S. Government.
Extracurricular Activities
-I coached Boys Tennis for 10 years and had a player make it to the State Tournament every year.
-I have led trips for DHS students and parents to London and Paris over Spring Break.
