Musical Auditions for ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ will be today, 3 to 5 in the Choir room. Call backs will be after school on Monday. Scripts and music are available for check out from Angel Smith in the music area (Room F113).
Come out to enjoy some College A Cappella at the ICCA Midwest Quarterfinal A Cappella Competition Saturday, March 8th at 7:00 pm at DeKalb High School. DHS Mixed A Cappella group ‘Enharmonic Fusion” will be performing. Tickets are available at www.varsityvocals.com

The DHS String Band will perform a "Dinner Concert" at Mediterraneo restaurant on Wednesday, March 12 from 5:45-6:30 p.m. If you like hearing eclectic folk and pop music from all around the world, stop by Mediterraneo to hear our string band. There are no tickets required, but you will need to order food to be seated.
Seniors please remember that the deadline to submit most local scholarships, unless otherwise noted on the application, is due to the Student Services Office by 3 p.m. sharp on Friday, March 14th.

If you are interested in rock climbing, join Outdoor Adventure Club on their trip to Vertical Endeavors, in Warrenville. Vertical Endeavors it the largest indoor rock climbing facility in Illinois, which has hundreds of hours of climbing and fun. If you are interested come to an informational meeting on Monday, March 10th at 3:00 in E106. If you cannot make it to the meeting but are still interested speak with Mr. Petrov.
PBIS invites ALL DHS students to a FREE showing of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Thursday, March 13th, at 6:00 p.m. in the main commons. A popcorn/drink combo is available for $1. All attendees will also receive a free raffle ticket to win fun prizes. We can't wait to see you there!

Are you in need of credit recovery or want to take a class to get ahead over the summer, Ombudsman summer school may be the answer for you. The cost is $200 a class and is not adjusted for free and reduced lunch. Applications are available in Student Services or on the DHS webpage under Counselors. The applications are due no later than May 30th but get your application in ASAP as it is first come, first serve.
Anyone interested in playing football next school year needs to pick up summer camp and calendar forms from Coach Weckler or the tower next to the athletic office. Get your registration turned in ASAP so we can get your Nike Gear ordered.
DHS Summer School 2014 information is currently available to students. Enrollment forms can be found in the main office, or the DHS website. Payment should not be submitted until parents have been notified that their student’s selected course will be meeting during summer school. This will not occur until the end of this school year. At that time, payment can be submitted to Rachel Happ (DHS treasurer). Check should be made out to DHS. The following classes are full. We will no longer accept applications for: Economics, Government, Honors Western Civ, World Geography and Speech.

The organization is open to anyone interested in promoting and recognizing academics at DeKalb High School.
