Project Breakthrough is an effort to foster an inclusive learning environment at DeKalb High School. This initiative is in support of our district mission statement to educate our students to reach their full potential and prepare them to contribute to our global society.
This effort was launched on August 19, 2005 with a strategic breakthrough session to identify the critical first steps in our journey to develop an inclusive learning community. The program has since received recognition from DeKalb County's DCP/SAFE organization and the Illinois State Board of Education.
This web site will provide information as we actively engage the high school population in new initiatives to evaluate and improve the experiences of all members of the DeKalb High School family.
